#6 How to earn more from your Blog

There is very little income? Only $20 - $30 in your account. Why isn't it making me rich like you said?

I know you heard about fast money programs - that's all crap. If they ask you to pay them at least $1 - they are selling you pretty much air. As you read more about their programs - it will all come to the same thing - you have to make it work by working hard or its just another scam.

How to Make more money?
Your visitors by clicking on your ads generate income. So to raise your income form Internet advertising you need to drive more traffic (people) to your site.

How to create a bigger Traffic?
There are many ways to drive more traffic to your site. Here are the most often:

From Advertising.

From search results.

From Social networks.

How to create a bigger traffic from Advertising?
AdWords - instead of getting pay for advertising others, you pay to advertise your site. As simple as it sounds, there is a trick to this concept that before using you must learn.

MyTip: As long as the ads you post with AdWords are accurate to the content of your site, Google will charge up to 70% less. (More detailed in my next post)

How to create a bigger traffic from Search Engine?
This is a much more work then simple Advertising, yet it is basically with no charge and much more profitable, if done right. This is called "Optimising a site for a search engine" of "site optimisation". You have to do this:

Submit your site to the search engines (Google, Yahoo, MSN)

Submit your site to most of the Directories (The list of all the Directories is here)

Submit your URL on other sites as much as possible (just post the link everywhere where it is accurate)

Make your Blog Search Engine Friendly (how to do this is written here)

MyTip: Only by reading about this as much as possible you will eventually become successful. Of course this is only part of success, yet without this knowledge you won't make it.

How to create a bigger traffic from Social Networks?
Everybody knows that these site have the most traffic - why not use it. Simple post your link everywhere where it is accurate. Don't go spamming or you'll get blocked. Just do 5 a day on each site. Here is a list of some Social Networks.

MyTip: The more back links you post, the bigger rank you'll get from the search engines. And you will also attract people just any other advertisement.

#5 Why are your payments on hold?

When you reach the amount of $10, your account will be put on hold. Next to your “today's earnings” you'll see a message. It will tell you that action needed for the account to be released of hold.

What kind of action?

When you apply for AdSense, they request only your name, address and phone number. Obviously, this isn't enough for them to pay you. So they will need:

Your bank account (if you agree to receive payment on your account)
Your address - must be confirmed with a pin number, that will be sent to you by mail.
Your phone number - they will call you and a recording will tell you the pin number.
Your Tax information - your Social Security number, address and a signature.

MyTip: In case you don't want to place your SSN. Then get a Tax ID. You can find all the information on how to get an EIN from the IRS website http://www.irs.gov/

Tax information, bank account and phone number were easy to confirm, yet the address took a while before I got the mail with the pin number (Almost a week. If you live far - just wait)

MyTip: If you are not a Citizen or a Resident - you do not need to provide any Tax information to Google.

You should know that Google is already paying taxes on the ads its showing with AdWords and that it will report the payments for AdSense as its spending. In this report your information will also be present.

#4 How to set up your AdSense

A week ago I sent a request to set up my google AdSense acount. I filled out the form on the google site and waited for the answer. Every day I checked the mail... nothing.

Then finely a week later I got the answer - we are sorry to inform you that you... blublublu... well, I was rejected. Yet, I Was happy to at least get the e-mail. And they told me what was the problem - material. I used pic from the net, and other stuff that had copyrights on them.

So I changed everything - just got rid of it. I didn't care - my goal was to see if it worked.

I sent the request back and got the answer the same day - approved. Yeah!!! Now I got something.

I logged in and looked around. Very simple. All I had to do was to generate the type of ad I wanted and place the code into my site. Yola.com has a special gadget that lets you put the code directly where you want it.

The next page that came up asked me to attach a channel to the ad.

Channel???

What the hell is a channel in an ad? Well its for your use and in the future - for your partners. You can attach ads to one or a couple of channels making it easer for you to track their performance.

In other words - you group up your ads and then compare which group does the best job.

MyTip: Just make the groups by page. And on the Blog page - which is the main one for me, make groups for top, side and bottom ads. This way you'll have a pretty good picture of your ads performance.

Done with channels. Now I'm placing the ad on my page. Well, I waited more then 10 minutes when my first ad came up. I guess the bot must see what is on the page to created the accurate content.

After 30 minutes I put the "Ads by Google" where I wanted it to be.

MyTip: Don't put too much ads - it really won't matter, but it will look too massy. And try using the "Link Unit" as a top menu - it looks quite nice.

Now I got my Ads set up yet the account show no money. Of course, what did I expect - millions to flow. I needed traffic to make me wealthy.

But the first day actually earned me $12,13. I was glad it worked.

MyTip: Don't click the ads by yourself. Your IP is always monitored. If they notice something strange - they will ban you for life. Don't be stupid - you want be able to make money like that.

#3 The concept of AdSense

You should have made a small Blog by now using yola.com or any other free web hosting. Just try experimenting with it. Think of something that you like, something that you do or just know really well and post it on your Blog.

Once you did the Blog, you need to set up the Google AdSense. There are many ways to earn money via internet, but now I am talking simply about ads on the site. They are called "Pay-Per-Click" ads which Google calls "AdWords"

The concept is simple - Google is paid by their clients for advertising their businesses with Adwords for every Click the ad gets and Google pays another client for placing this Ad with AdSense on there site and getting the visitor to Click the ad. Of course Google pays less then receives therefore keeping the difference to itself and making profit.

Google will never go out of business because for every penny that it pays it receives 2 more. And the best thing - anyone can advertise and place ads on their sites, simply obeying a couple of basic rules - no pornography and no tricks into making people click the ads.

So since i got the idea what are AdWords and AdSense I started thinking a way of implementing them. Here is what you and I have to do.

First create an account with google.
Then tell google that you have a blog and wait for the google bot to index it.
Then ask google to let you place AdSence on your Blog
And after - pay google to advertise your Blog with adwords.

These are the steps I came up with while reading other blogs and sites. It looks easy, but when I started doing this - it got a bit complicated.

So in the next posts I will go through all of these steps explaining every detail that I have noticed, and giving away all the tips I gathered.

#2 Building a Blog with Yola

While I looked for clues I tripped over many goofy ideas like posting links, sending e-mails, answering surveys and yet all of this wasn’t good enough. “I mustn’t work for hours” I kept saying to myself. The whole concept is to create something that lives on by itself with no work but supervision and small add-ons in the future.

I looked at facebook and youtube. What do they have?

You! Me! Us!

They have us, who fill up their content without them bothering what to write. Yet they have created the platform for this. I have no knowledge to create such great sites. I have no time or money either.

What can I make fast with no money and little time?
Blog was the best thing I could think of.I have done a couple of sites before and learned by myself HTML and a PHP just enough to make it look nice. Nothing fancy.I know that I can find lots of free hosts for my site. I went to Google and typed “free web hosting”

The first thing I got was “Yola.com”

“Lets use this” I said. It really doesn’t matter what host you use. Eventually you will move from this host because staying on free hosting isn’t what you want if you want to attract people to your site.

Yola turned out to be a quite good platform for my site – very easy to use. Almost everything is drag-n-drop and a little HTML block for times when I really need to put a code. Of course it doesn’t let you see the style-sheets, simply because you only get to pick the style they offer.

Which is fine for me, since I have no time creating a site from scratch.
Now I have a platform I can use to create and host my blog on the net. Try doing this yourself with Yola.com. or any other free hosting. Don’t bother learning HTML codes and PHP. You won’t become good at it even if you study for a year. You need much more time and effort. So just go with the flow and learn how to use free simple stuff.

The answer is AdSense... and they are everywhere. Simply by visiting you make this site even more profitable.

Because you have given me so much just by showing your interest in my first attempt to earn money though internet, I will post every single step I made to reach this results.

All I bring is Light. Many of you will not believe me, some of you won’t do anything even believing and only a small fraction of my visitors will actually do something.

I write to all of you because we all deserve to see the light. We all deserve to have an income generated without your everyday hard work.

Why do we deserve this?

Because we are the ones who generate huge incomes for companies every day, every minute millions of dollars flow into their accounts without us even noticing it.
